Colorful Seasons

The beautiful ornamental plum trees in my yard inspired this card. They are one of my favorite things to watch as spring comes to our part of California, because they get these beautiful pink blossoms.  They only stick around for about 2 weeks and then they are gone and replaced with purplish leaves! (Is purplish even a word?) I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers dies for this simple card that has a watercolor paper background with a watercolor wash in Powder Pink. The cardstock for the card base is Fresh Fig.  These are In Colors that will be retiring at the end of May, so be sure to stock up if you want these in your collection! I thought the Artisan Pearls were a beautiful detail to finish off the card.   For a free PDF tutorial: click the 'Free Tutorial' tab at the top of this page.  See below for supplies used. Sea of Textures Shaker Card

I love shaker cards. I think it's the kid in me, but I just think they are so much fun. I can't help myself when I pick one up, of course I have to shake it. And my teenaged daughter gets annoyed each time "yes mom, I see it" (LOL!). Today's project was made using the Sea of Textures Bundle in our Annual Catalog. Remember, when you purchase bundled products you save 10%.  I am a bargain hunter and love saving money when I shop, so I love taking advantage of Stampin' Up! bundles. This was definitely fun to make. It is another CASE (Copy And Share Everything) project that I took right out of the annual catalog.  In our catalog they used the net stamp from the stamp set, but I decided to use the die from the coordinating Under the Sea dies instead, to add some extra texture.  I love how the background turned out. The beads in the Tranquil Textures Sprinkles are so pretty and add just the perfect touch.  The white ones have a pearl sheen ...

Tropical Chic Thank You

I love the colors on this card. They are so soft and pretty.  I CASE'd this from two cards I saw in the annual catalog. I love the dimension from of the square palm leaf die, and the combination of the die cut stamped images and die cut cardstock adds so much texture to this card. So Hoppy Together Birthday Card

This was a fun project to make with the So Hoppy Together stamp set! I just love these little frogs! This is a FREE stamp set when you make a $50 purchase during our Sale-A-Bration promotion. I used my Blender Pens along with my coordinating Stampin' Pads to color in the frog image.  See my video tutorial below to see a comparison between using Blender Pens, Stampin' Write Markers and Stampin' Blends. I also stamped the inside and added some sweet hearts using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
